Jeonbuk FC had ascendancy over Daegu FC
Defending Champion Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors Football Club had the K-league match postponed in May, and rose to the sixth place with brilliant exploits of Lion king Lee Dong Gook and Kruno Lovrek.
Both Clubs engaged in a fierce battle
The opponents Daegu FC kicked off the game, but Kwoun Sun Tae could foresee the directions and made good saves. The fifth minute was the starting point of Jeonbuk FC¡¯s offense; Kim Hyeung Bum tried a free kick in the right side of the arch and Park Won Jae showed a sharp cross in the midfield. Then, Jeonbuk FC struggled against the counterattack of Daegu FC; Hwang Il Soo broke through the defense, Kim Dong Seok fired a sneak drop shot, and On Byeong Hoon tried a scissor kick.
In the 27th minute, Lovrek opened the scoring; the cross from Luiz Henrique Da Silva was curved, and Lovrek composedly shook the net with it. Meantime, Lee Yo Han was injured a minute later, so Jeonbuk FC took a 195cm tall striker Sim Woo Yeon as a defender experimentally. He blocked some attacks taking advantages of his height.
A header, a right-foot shot, and a lobbing shot
At half-time, Jeonbuk FC was one goal ahead. From the beginning of the second half, Jeonbuk FC assumed the offensive to try conclusion, and Lovrek scored the second goal in the 6th minute; he got a cross from Choi Tae Uk and succeeded a header with it. To be more offensive, Lee Dong Gook was put into the field. Also, Daegu FC focused on the offense to make a retrieval goal and tried some shootings and a header.
Lee Dong Gook faced one-to-one combat against the goalie, but he was in an offside position. Finally, he became the one who made the conclusion. He got a bounced ball from Luiz, and succeeded a right-foot shot in the 31st minute. Then, after one more decisive trial, he made a lobbing shot and shook the net again in the 47th minute.
